Monthly cost = audio minutes × audio unit price + video minutes of each type × video unit price of each type
Example
Suppose 3 users had a video call for 30 minutes, each with a video resolution set to 720p.
- User A kept the microphone and camera turned on for 30 minutes.
- User B kept the camera turned on for 20 minutes, and for the next 10 minutes, turned on the microphone only.
- User C never turned on the camera and turned on the microphone for 30 minutes.
Calculate cost
- User A subscribed to user B's video stream for 20 minutes and subscribed to user B's and user C's audio stream for 40 minutes.
Cost of user A: 20 minutes × $3.99 / 1,000 minutes + 40 minutes × $0.99 / 1,000 minutes = $0.1194
- User B subscribed to user A's video stream for 30 minutes and subscribed to user C's audio stream for 30 minutes.
Cost of user B: 30 minutes × $3.99 / 1,000 minutes + 30 minutes × $0.99 / 1,000 minutes = $0.1494
- User C subscribed to user A and user B's video stream for 50 minutes and subscribed to user B's audio stream for 10 minutes.
Cost of user C: 50 minutes × $3.99 / 1,000 minutes + 10 minutes × $0.99 / 1,000 minutes = $0.2094
Total cost: $0.1194 + $0.1494 + $0.2094 = $0.4782
