This document describes how live streaming is billed for users who create an account before December 9.

We offer 3 types of live streaming with different levels of latency. You can choose the best option according to your budget and needs.
If you want to use CDN Live, please open the CDN service in the Admin Console first, otherwise, you will not be able to use it properly.
If you want to use Standard Live, please contact us to activate the service.
If you need a video resolution greater than 1080p, please contact us to request a quote.

Monthly cost = cost of host and co-host + cost of audience

Example

There was a live stream with 1 host and 1,000 audience members for 60 minutes. During the live stream, 1 co-host connected to the host and turned on his camera for 30 minutes. The video resolution of the host and co-host was set to 720p.

Calculate cost

Premium Live

Cost of the host and the co-host: 60 minutes × $3.99 / 1,000 minutes + 30 minutes × $3.99 / 1,000 minutes = $0.3591

Cost of the audience: 0 minutes × 1,000 audience members × $3.99 / 1,000 minutes + 30 minutes × 1,000 audience members × $3.99 / 1,000 minutes = $359.1

Total cost: $0.3591 + $359.1 = $359.4591

Standard Live

Cost of the host and the co-host: 60 minutes × $3.99 / 1,000 minutes + 30 minutes × $3.99 / 1,000 minutes = $0.3591

Cost of the audience: 60 minutes × 1,000 audience members × $2.29 / 1,000 minutes + 30 minutes × 1,000 audience members × $2.29 / 1,000 minutes = $206.1

Total cost = $0.3591 + $206.1 = $206.4591

CDN Live

Cost of the host and the co-host: 60 minutes × $3.99 / 1,000 minutes + 30 minutes × $3.99 / 1,000 minutes = $0.3591

Cost of the audience: 2 Mbps × 60 seconds / 8 bit × (60 + 30) minutes / 1024 × 1,000 audience members × $0.15/GB = $197.7539

Total cost = $0.3591 + $197.7539 = $198.113

1. How to estimate the CDN traffic?

CDN traffic = (Bitrate) × (time) / 8 bit

For example, if you set the live streaming bitrate to 2 Mbps, the traffic consumed per hour will be 2 × (60 × 60) seconds / 8 = 900 MB = 900 / 1024 ≈ 0.88 GB
